Centennial and Shabbaton attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodations. We have contracted a block of rooms at a discounted group rate of $193 per night at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. All hotel reservations must be canceled at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid a one-night cancellation charge. Hotel space is limited and the block is available until September 13, 2013.  We strongly encourage you to book your hotel room early.

What should I wear?

Dress for all sessions is business casual. For Sunday evening’s gala, semi-formal attire is recommended. Comfortable shoes are a must throughout the conference.

Who will be speaking at the Centennial? What is the schedule?

The conference and Shabbaton will feature an illustrious group of speakers, presenters, and performers. Click here to view the program. Click here to learn more about presenters. The conference program is still in formation, so check back frequently for updates.

What kinds of sessions are there? Who can attend these sessions?

Conference sessions are designed for everyone, whether synagogue lay leaders, professionals, clergy, or other attendees. The conference will feature four thematic “conversations,” to be opened by major speakers. These will be followed by interactive workshops and breakout sessions. The conference will open with the Personal Conversation, followed by the Interfaith Conversation, the Communal Conversation, and the Israel Conversation. For details, see the conference schedule.

Can you meet special dietary requirements?

All food served at the Centennial is strictly kosher. Furthermore, USCJ attempts to accommodate special dietary requirements, but we must make arrangements at least two weeks prior to the conference.  Please contact Tamara Leopold at 212-684-9815 or  for more information.
