Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin

Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin is a writer and an environmental activist. She is founder and director of the Baltimore Orchard Project and Founding Director of the Baltimore Jewish Environmental Network (BJEN) at the Pearlstone Center. She currently serves as the Chair of the Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, an interfaith environmental organization working throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

She is currently working on The Sova Project, an initiative to recast shemittah in a contemporary mode as a response to the spiritual, social, economic and environmental needs of today.
